so i like batman. and so i was drawn to this. i even made a game on scratch during high school a couple years back here's a link if you wanted to check that out https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/138815827/
but i would like to point out a few issues....
the controls are horribly sluggish, it seems that you are waiting on animations to finish before playing the next one. and for things like running and jumping that's fine, kinda. but inputs like dashing, punching and kicking are really annoying when your not sure when the punch or kick will start.
i must ask. why the red light is parented to the player? it does flips when you do flips and it leaves me wondering why you didn't make a short script to get it to follow the x position of the player + some offset or something.
there seems to be a clash in art styles as things are scaled up way further than they probably should be, especially when comparing the resolution of the characters with the background. even if you did the pixel-art, you could then scale it up with a art program of your choosing.
(i used krita to make my jam entry https://itch.io/jam/dream-arcade-archive/rate/633164 (link if you want to have a look), its free and you can do textures animation and painting in it.)
after the pixel art image is scaled to something closer the pixel size of the characters, you can add in some texture of some sort using brushes or stamps or whatever to add a bit of detail to make it fit in a bit more.
